Huawei Mobiles Party Mode: What is it and what is it for?

Sws headset effect what is it

In modern device production, one can increasingly notice the presence of this opportunity. First of all, it provides the user of the equipment with sufficiently spacious sound quality. Moreover, the indicators and characteristics of the melody do not decrease when used, but on the contrary, they improve. The feeling can be compared, for example, to the sound of an audio recording on speakers, however, the difference is that the file is played directly in its own individual form.

ATTENTION! It is believed that the described improvement method is not suitable for all genres of work. So you should first familiarize yourself with the best options. That is, the result may not always be ideal, especially since it is just software processing of a particular sound.

Thus, we can highlight the following main advantages of using the presented effect:

  • Providing 3D audio effect;
  • Acts as a music amplifier;
  • So to speak, it tightens the highest frequencies, that is, it directly expands the frequency range;
  • Raises the volume to 10 percent;
  • The sound is not only complete, but also with the absence of various distortions when playing the file;
  • Gently affects the upper bass, thereby creating “depth” of the sound.

Consequently, some models provide the ability to enable sws technology even when playing videos. For example, this primarily concerns the manufacturer Honor.

To summarize

The operators do not listen to 18th-century lute music, but talk to customers. They need a noise suppressor that will hide from them the sounds of a chainsaw under the window, the sounds of a neighbor’s dog barking from the house, and most of the household activities in the rooms nearby. Then the intelligibility of speech in the earphone is important to them: this is, to a minimum extent, the quality of the sound, and to a large extent, it is the quality of cutting off external noise around the operator. The better the client is heard and the more natural his voice is (when the noise reduction is turned on, the carrier is often distorted), the less tired the operator is. Of course, this does not exclude the possibility that the subscriber can talk to the car’s dashboard at all, but on average this is better.

In second place are ergonomics and materials - a lightweight, durable and comfortable headset makes life much easier for the operator and takes less wear and tear. Convenient controls help you work better. At the same time, it does not deform over time, that is, it does not slide off the head.

The remaining parameters are important, rather, as a pleasant bonus, or in the case of some specific working conditions, such as working near a mining station. In general, ask your operators what they are comfortable working with. We've learned a lot of new things.

What does sws headset mean?

When translated literally, the phrase is Super Wide Sound , which, accordingly, means “super wide sound.” Every year this proprietary feature is becoming more and more popular, since the greater depth of melody in each track is in great demand both among users and among potential buyers.

Perhaps few people would refuse to provide surround sound through a special concentration on certain basses. Consequently, manufacturers take as much care as possible about future owners, thereby providing their products with high-quality audio reproduction, namely the vacuum type.

How to disable Huawei Histen?

Disabling an audio service is no different from the actions required to deactivate any other program for smartphones on Android. Users should open the application settings menu and find the desired action option there, or go to the list of applications installed on the smartphone and deactivate the service through the phone menu by clicking the corresponding button opposite the program. As a last resort, you can simply remove the headphones from the phone or turn off the wireless connection.

Huawei Histen - what is this application?

Among a large number of different software for improving the performance of a smartphone, it occupies a leading niche in the section of improving sound through a headset. Exclusive algorithms for working with sound, the secret of which Huawei does not disclose to the public, help create various effects and change dynamic playback in a way that is convenient for the user.

Huawei Histen can be used for three types of audio headsets:

  • on-ear headphones;
  • plug-in;
  • vertical.

Histen technology has two basic sections with which the client controls the music:

In the first section of the technology, there are ten tuning bands where the user manually adjusts the frequency, style, bass, etc.

The second section adds volume to any sound and takes the listener into live listening mode.

In general, plans to include smartphones in the list of devices that are worthy of consideration on the pages of the AudioFight website have been brewing for a long time. There was even one review written two years ago, but it was never published. Why? It's simple - smartphones are rarely equipped with dedicated DACs or specialized codecs. As for the processors on which they are built, their manufacturers do not really bother with sound. Operational amplifiers are also rarely used. What about amplifiers? In the vast majority of cases, standard wiring is generally used, without any modifications or improvements. This approach should result in the same sound in all devices. So is there any point in talking about them? You can buy the Huawei Honor 6X smartphone here → Possibly yes. We know that if you take a dozen cheap players, then everything will be approximately the same - at first glance, the hardware is the same, the software is the same, but the output sound is often different. Why is this happening? There can be a lot of reasons. In some places, slightly more expensive components were used, in others the power supply circuit was slightly adjusted, the microprograms were modified in new versions of the codec, etc. I'm not an expert, so I can only guess. However, the fact remains a fact and we have to reckon with it. So let's try. Let's start with the Huawei Honor 6X smartphone. Firstly, I now have it in my hands and I actively use it, and secondly, it uses a processor of the smartphone manufacturer’s own design - Kirin 655. This is not your usual Snapdragon or MTK, which gives us the right to hope for a new interesting sound. It is clear that we will only talk about the audio component of this smartphone, but if someone wants to see the full picture and learn more about the smartphone, then this can be done at this link. There is a full review in my own performance. Let's start with the standard player. There is nothing special about him. A typical craft in the style - so that there is. There are no deep settings, no equalizer, etc. Only sorting tracks and playing them. Plays most popular formats in high resolution. Well, the covers are also displayed, yes. There is no decent amplifier available. The Huawei Honor 6X smartphone does not handle high-impedance headphones at all. The output sound is inexpressive, and even just quiet. The device already copes well with anything no higher than 64 Ohms - this should be kept in mind. We sorted out the impedance, and if you do not take headphones with an impedance greater than the already specified value, then the sound picture looks like this - good. This is in one word. The main thing is not to forget to turn off the “SWS Headset Effect” in the sound settings. After the high-ohm ones, which were connected and tested first, I no longer hoped for anything, but suddenly a fairly decent sound emerged. A scene appeared, good detail and even a subjectively beautiful color characteristic of high-quality codecs, which can be called a special presentation. Moreover, there is even what I would characterize as power. I really missed this in Xiaomi Redmi Note 2; the sound was very sluggish. I think that owners of Huawei Honor 6X definitely don’t need a separate player for no more than 1,200 rubles (in Chinese prices, not at our retailers), even to save battery - this smartphone has a large battery and is consumed slowly. In general, the level is no worse than high-quality entry-level products based on RockChip codecs. Of the slightly more expensive options, you should only take something like Walnut or Zishan. You can only get a better level by spending more than $50 on the player. But still. Despite the unexpectedly decent sound, which, if certain conditions are met (headphone impedance, turning off “decorations” from the manufacturer, selecting a software player) can be sufficient for the average user who does not suffer from audiophilia, I recommend that all connoisseurs of good music get at least a simple HiFi player. Respect yourself. But the smart phone is generally excellent, especially with its camera. You won't find anything better for 11,000 rubles. You can buy the Huawei Honor 6X smartphone here →

Comments: #1 OgyP4uK , 07/14/2017, 12:01 It would still be interesting to hear your opinion on the sound for phones with dedicated DACs, DACs + amplifiers, DACs + N amplifiers. The built-in sound of Qualcoms is definitely not cake, anyone can hear it - they can’t cross the “above average” bar

#2 OgyP4uK , 07/14/2017, 12:06 Xshot model: Cirrus CS4398 DAC, Maxim MAX97220 audio amplifier with 801 processor. On it, the sound is adjusted by 5%, when the hi-fi mode is turned on, it is adjusted by 3%. Well, it feels like you opened the door and walked into a room with a sound source))

#3 Sublbaby , 07/14/2017, 12:12 OgyP4uK, I agree about the Kualcoms, that’s why I talked about smart on a different processor. As for devices with dedicated DACs, I have not heard of the option you describe. If you manage to get these, then there will be reviews.

#4 StepanKMS , 07/14/2017, 12:16 I’ll make one correction. All smartphones from the manufacturer honor have their sound cut down in software: they tried to make it as bad as possible. I don’t know why they do this, but the hardware of this smart phone can produce sound of higher quality (smoother frequency response, greater detail, etc.), in addition, it is capable of playing much louder (about 1.5 times). The world is not without good people, and this group (https://vk.com/huaweisound) contains instructions and files to correct the situation. I myself own honor 4c and the difference in frequency response before and after can be seen here: https://vk.com/wall-115410995_1393 In general, all honors sound good after modification and will not lose face: -b

#5 Autumn's Monologue , 07.14.2017, 12:19 I recently purchased a Xiaomi Mi5, can anyone tell me how it compares to other smartphones in terms of sound? It’s just that I hardly listen to music on it, even though I bought a Poweramp, I have no experience of listening to music on other smartphones...

#7 Uncle , 07/14/2017, 12:47 Almost all smart players play mediocre. Moreover, Android plays worse than iPhone by default, simply because all the music is resampled. There are software unlocks for this garbage, then the quality improves. As for smart phones with a dedicated DAC - now almost all top players are based on Android + DAC, so everything is fine here (although there may be problems with the development of the output stages). The Vivo XShot mentioned just above is a full-fledged DAC player with a high-quality DAC (Cirrus Logic CS4398CN, Maxim MAX97220 op amp, TI TLV320ADC ADC), although at a price of $560 and a battery of only 2600, you can look for something better

#8 maxifuny , 07/14/2017, 12:51 I have a full-fledged P9 on a Kirin 955 - the sound is about the same as Sansa Clip (I use Newton and JetAudio pro), i.e. no. But on the road you can listen to it in urban areas. Zhishan is much cooler.

#9 OgyP4uK , 07/14/2017, 01:00 pm Uncle, the worst thing is that the phone’s specifications say the battery is 3000 and it seems to have a working time)) I bought it in 15 for 19,500, so your price is not even correct for those times, at a rate of 48, can anyone explain how people determine whether the DAC has a winding or not?

[+] 0 [-]

#10 MrToot , 07.14.2017, 17:36 Well, as for me, any smartphone with Qualcom, even the budget Redmi 4x 435, sounds much better than very budget players, such as the same well-known Sansa Clip+, all sorts of cheap Ruizu, etc. .d. It’s more difficult with MTK, there were a couple of smartphones with budget MTK, the sound quality itself is mediocre, and often there is not enough volume reserve even for 64 ohm headphones. Although with the current price for all sorts of nuts, zhikhans and even xduoo x3, it’s really worth buying a player. The sound is like heaven and earth. Here smartphones win only in terms of convenience. In fact, players on Android are very convenient now, like Powerump. In a couple of swipes you can find any track you want, you can open tracks of only a certain artist or only from a certain album and listen only to them, you can find them by searching if you remember only part of the title, etc. and so on. There is even a normal shuffle, and not just a jump by N positions as on all players. Even if they had mechanical buttons, they would be nothing at all. I think this is why expensive players are now being made with Android.

[+] 0 [-]

#11 WarhammerXV , 07.14.2017, 18:11 Tell me, what kind of player is this? On my Elephone P9000 I tried a lot of those that were mentioned on the forum and website. I haven’t seen AIMP, which I actually use. And I don’t understand why they ignore him? IMHO, the sound in it is much livelier than in popular players. Has anyone tried it?

[+] 0 [-]

#12 serg78 , 07/15/2017, 01:46 I also use Aimp on Nubia z9max with a dedicated DAC. Of all the players we tried, it was the only one that gave the same quality as a stock player, which interacts perfectly with hardware in terms of sound, but has a rather weak interface.

#13 Mukkie , 07/15/2017, 07:49 Why buy a Chinese product without a guarantee and with absolutely incomprehensible sound circuits, if Highscreen boost 3 exists? at a price that is not much more expensive, you can get significantly higher quality sound, tested by a huge number of people. Well, not the crappiest phone to boot

[+] 0 [-]

#14 serg78 , 07/15/2017, 10:27 The phone was taken more for photos and not for sound, since the sensor is from Sonya IMX 234, but unexpectedly there was an AKM4375 192kHz\24bit DAC on board. It is unknown what kind of amplifier it is, but the superlux 668b drives normally. It cost only a tenner from China in the NX512J version. Compared to it, the nut v2s has an advantage in sound only in tube sound (for an amateur) and in listening at low volume (the sound remains bold). In terms of detail, the bodies are better at normal volume.

[+] 0 [-]

#15 , 07/16/2017, 18:01 According to the results of gsmarena.com, the sound quality of flagships with Qualcom, for example Samsung, is better than this model in all respects. And the results are such that it is impossible to hear any sound defects with the human ear - perfectly smooth frequency response, THD and noise below a tenth of a percent, etc. And in other matters, experts say that at the electronics level it is easy to achieve very good results. Difficulties with membranes, space (for headphones, unlike other emitters, you cannot simply achieve a flat frequency response - you also need to emulate how waves are reflected in a normal environment) and people's ears. Unless you have headphones that need a lot of power, I personally don’t see the need to buy a player.

Where to download and how to configure?

The mobile application is available for download on the official Play Market platform and App Gallery. Enter the name in the search bar, go to the page and click “Download the application”, and install it on Android.

Important! Do not download APKs from third-party sources as they often turn out to be harmful to devices.

The setup algorithm is simple:

  1. Connect headphones to your phone.
  2. Go to settings mode on your smartphone.
  3. Open the “Sound” tab there.
  4. Click on the item “Huawei Histen Audio Effects” (the line is displayed only when the headset is connected to the smartphone).
  5. Select the type of headset.
  6. Next, go to the application and adjust the sound itself.

How to enable Huawei Histen?

To enable Huawei Histen audio effects, you will need to use the advice already mentioned above and open the menu section of the same name. After which you will be left with:

  1. select the desired type of settings (by type of headphones, sound volume or equalizer);
  2. set optimal parameters for listening to music;
  3. maintain the selected sound quality.

Hivoice application on Huawei and Honor: what is it, how to disable it?

If you don’t like the selected parameters, you can replace them with others by changing the service operating conditions again.

Huawei Histen does not work via Bluetooth

Any technology sometimes fails. Honor smartphones and Histen technology are no exception, so a review of the program could not be complete without considering possible problems. At the same time, the algorithm of actions when a person cannot turn on an audio service via Bluetooth is extremely simple:

  1. you need to find the reasons for the difficulties;
  2. and restore the program.

Given the small number of potential causes of problems, diagnosis will not take much time.

If you have any questions or complaints, please let us know

Causes

Among the main reasons for problems using the service with wireless headphones are:

  • smartphone malfunction;
  • no headphone connection;
  • the need to update the service and install a new version of the program;
  • a serious malfunction in the program that interferes with its stable operation.

Other causes of problems are extremely rare and usually indicate the presence of serious problems that require a full repair or resetting the smartphone settings to the basic level set by the company when the device was released at the factory.

What to do?

To re-enable and configure the service, you will need:

  1. reboot your smartphone to combat a system failure;
  2. make sure the headphones are connected;
  3. download and install an update, if one appears;
  4. remove and reinstall programs (by downloading from the application store using the “download” button).
