Using the software resource, you can set ROOT rights, flash devices using custom images (ROM), provide access to hidden options of the EMUI shell, and restart gadgets in “Recovery” mode. Other useful features of the software include unpacking images from CUST and SYSTEM, unlocking the bootloader and installing all drivers for operating systems such as Android and Windows. In addition, the program restores smartphones that have stopped starting due to unsuccessful firmware. Another useful feature is the cancellation of PIN and pattern key. Yes, this tool does not work on all devices, but with each patch the list of compatible devices expands. In addition, the software product can collect a variety of data. For example, with the help of HUAWEI Multi Tool, the user will find out the current version of the firmware and bootloader, and will also receive information about the technical and software parts of the device. Among the latest options that appeared in the program, we can note the change in bootanimation and adjustment of vendor/country (exclusively on smartphones produced under the Honor brand).
Lg g2
Restoring the LG G2 to its factory state will also not cause any problems. The number of steps in this process is somewhat larger, but they themselves do not require special preparation and knowledge. So, what to do to return the G2 to factory firmware:
- Download and install ADB Driver Installer from here.
- Download the official firmware (Europe Open 32G or Europe Open) from here.
- Download and install LG Mobile Support Tool, as well as FlashTool (goo.gl/NE26IQ).
- Turn off the smartphone, hold down the volume up button and insert the USB cable.
- Expand the FlashTool archive and run the UpTestEX.exe file.
- In the window that opens, select Select Type -> 3GQCT, Phone Mode -> DIAG, in the Select KDZ file option select the firmware downloaded in the second step.
- Click the CSE Flash button at the bottom of the screen.
- In the window that opens, click Start.
- In the next window, select the country and language and click Ok.
- We wait for the firmware to finish, and then turn off and turn on the smartphone.
This is all. But keep in mind that, as in the case of Samsung, the smartphone will still have Rooted status, and this cannot be fixed.

HUAWEI Multi Tool is a program for performing service operations on Huawei smartphones. Using the utility, you unlock the bootloader, install root rights, reflash the Recovery menu, restore the brick, etc. The first thing you need to do is install the NET Framework version 4.6.1 and drivers for your smartphone. Without this, HUAWEI Multi Tool will not work. The program interface is quite simple. It includes several tabs with basic functions. The first tab is the main window, which shows the log of changes in the latest versions of the program. In the second tab, “Bootloader,” you can both unlock and close the smartphone’s bootloader. But for these actions you need a special key. You can get it directly from the program. In the next two tabs you can flash the kernel or recovery of your smartphone. To do this, download the necessary images, specify them in the program and click “Flash”. There is nothing complicated. Also, in just a couple of clicks you can get root rights. Another interesting feature is “Unbricked”, that is, the return to functionality of a bricked smartphone. To do this, you need to download the five images specified in the program and install them. You can also use the program to execute the adb and fastboot commands. This is much more convenient than entering commands in the console.
Multi-Tool for HUAWEI and HONOR version: 8.0.9.2
A terrible multi-step happened to me, in which there was a place: Telephone spam throughout the day. Substitution of the operator's number Attempts to steal money from the card An application that steals SMS from Sberbank.
By a lucky coincidence, everything ended (I hope) well for me - I did not lose my number and my money from the card. I really ask that this story be disseminated, because only with the help of publicity can this evil spirit be stopped and we finally begin to work with the victims!
How it was:
1. On the night from Saturday to Sunday, I received an SMS confirming the debiting of funds from my Sberbank card. The SMS came from number 900, from which all Sber alerts come. The SMS indicates that an order was placed with Kay LLC in the amount of 9,990 rubles. I need to send a code to a 900 number to verify it. What’s the problem: my husband and I have a common account, but we have different cards, and we both receive SMS about the debit. This time it came only to me. And this is an important point! Naturally, we did not place any order. We googled this store and called there. They said that they did not have such an order in their database and did not have my number.

The SMS arrived at one in the morning, we had been asleep for a long time. I saw her only during the day, and then by accident.
2. Just in case, we called Sberbank and blocked the card. We tried to find out why the SMS was sent only to my number, but not to my husband. They said something like: “well, it happens.”
3. From 9:30 am on Sunday I started getting calls from hidden and open numbers. I have a story about this on VKontakte (https://vk.com/@infanto_death-spam-telefonnymi-zvonkami-so-s...). Who is too lazy to read: they called from hidden and open numbers. If you take the hidden one, the call ends. Open lasts 1 second. They didn’t call back calls from a mobile phone; if you call from a landline, there is silence and hissing. There were approximately 120 calls per day. I contacted Megafon technical support, but did not receive adequate help, only the imposition of paid services. I put my phone in airplane mode for the night.
4. On Monday at 8 am I turned on the phone. From 8 to 9:30 a hidden number called me 32 times. Look, exactly one day - from 9:30 Sunday to 9:30 Monday. It’s as if someone paid for exactly one day of DDoS))
5. I take my passport and go to the Megafon service center and file a claim there. It was around 13:00. The claim is accepted and a decision is promised within 7 days.
6. At 16:30 Megafon calls me from a number. This is their support number, I called them on it myself. They introduce themselves as Megafon's security department and say that they are working on my request. The spam has stopped.
- They stopped calling, they don’t call anymore?
“No,” I say.
I asked how I could hear him - I said, it’s not good, it was better before. And the sound is such that you have to strain your ears, as if a person is sitting far from the device. He also said something about the second line that it won’t arrive. I think, well, screw it, the main thing is there is no spam.
Then he said that I need to install their application with settings so that the phone now works correctly. I asked what would be more convenient - download it from Google Play right during the conversation or send him a link via SMS. I replied that the link was more convenient. Right now, he says, I’ll send it and call you back right away. He also asked the model of my phone to find out if there were such settings for it. I replied that I have Huawei.
7. I receive a link to Google Play from a federal number. Here I could have guessed what the point was, but in a situation of stress I became dull, I repent. I had this number in my emergency numbers, I added everyone who called me yesterday to it. I decided that the phone blacklisted him for the reason that he was not in my contacts and he contained a link. I think it’s cool, he’s blocking links, what a good guy. But I need this one. I got the number from the emergency situation, downloaded the application, and installed it. I gave him all permissions - to read SMS. “Megafon security specialist” warned about them.
8. As soon as I install the application, as promised, I received a call back from the number. They asked if the application was installed and if I gave permission. They said that the setup would take about 15 minutes. I was happy and sat down to work, forgetting about the phone.
9. I suspected something was wrong after 2 hours, the setup did not finish. A colleague transferred 300 rubles to my card, but I did not receive an SMS notification from the bank. At the same time, I myself made a small transfer from my card to another - and again I did not receive a notification about the debit. I go to SMS - there is a red font saying that I am using a non-standard application for reading SMS, let's return everything as it was?
10. I decide to Google the federal number from which I received an SMS with a link, I start typing it into the search engine, and Google suddenly uses autocomplete - that is, I’ve already Googled it!
And I googled all the numbers from which there were spam calls on Sunday. I understand that he was the one who called me yesterday, too, and he was on the black list not because of the link, but because I added him there myself.

11. I call Megafon technical support. I describe what happened - they tell me, you're welcome, we only send everything from short numbers. I sprinkle ashes on my head, demolish the program, return everything as it was, block my remaining cards. I understand that the application I installed simply steals my SMS messages and sends them to scammers. And with the help of this, they will easily transfer funds from my card to their cards, I won’t even know about it until I want to buy something or suddenly look into my mobile bank.
12. I run to the police to file a report regarding fraud. I tell my story there and it’s even funny - how stupid I was! I myself have been working with mobile applications, SMS services and smart-ass users for 6 years - and I myself fell for the bait!
But what a damn, well-calibrated multi-move! Torment a person with spam, then stop him and turn him into security specialists. Oh man, you will burn beautifully in hell! :)
As you already understood, that call from technical support was fake. I received a call from a scammer who uses a spoofed number. Those. he calls from a regular SIM card from a regular number, but the Megafon service number is determined for me. Naturally, there was no sleep there.
Do you understand now why the SMS about the debit of funds, which arrived from Saturday to Sunday, was delivered to only one number?
Yes, because it was also fake. If the bank had sent her, she would have come to her husband’s number too. And so only I had it - a scammer sent it and replaced his number with a 900 number.
In detail, by the way, the substitution of the number is also not visible - everything looks as if Megafon called me, and Sberbank wrote to me.
In this situation, the only thing that saved us was that we blocked the card before I installed this application. All it can do, by the way, is to search for SMS messages from number 900 and forward them to scammers. They do not remain on the victim's phone.
Please tell your friends and relatives about this scam. Do not believe that the bank is calling you, even if the real bank number is displayed on the phone.
Call back yourself, go to the office, don’t download anything, don’t send any SMS at the employee’s request.
Feel free to act like an idiot, ask stupid questions if you don’t fully understand what they want from you and what the actions they ask of you will entail.
Don’t be afraid to write a statement about what happened, scammers should be punished, and the police should learn to look for them.

Myth 2. Custom firmware is unreliable
Firmware is different from firmware. On the vastness of the World Wide Web you can find a huge number of Android builds for every taste and color, and most of them are really slag, which can lead to instability in the operation of the smartphone and loss of some functionality. Therefore, the first thing to remember is that you should only deal with serious custom firmware developed by large teams of experienced developers. First of all, these are CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP, OmniROM and MIUI.
Second. There are two types of firmware: officially supported and ported by third-party developers. The same CyanogenMod, for example, has an official version for the Nexus 4 smartphone, but does not have one for the Motorola Defy. But for Defy there is an unofficial port of CyanogenMod 11 from a developer with the nickname Quarx.
Well, third. There are stable and development versions of the firmware. Stable versions of CyanogenMod have the index M (CyanogenMod 11.0 M7, for example). This firmware version usually does not contain bugs. Development versions (in the case of CyanogenMod these are daily nightly builds) may contain bugs and are therefore not recommended for everyday use.
Conclusion: if you install a stable official version of the “normal” firmware on your smartphone, the risk of encountering bugs is minimal. Everything else is for experimenters.
