Last year, Huawei presented the successful fitness bracelet Huawei Band 4 Pro. There was no doubt that the model would have a predecessor in the form of Band 5, however, the Chinese surprised everyone. They decided to skip the top five and introduced Huawei Band 6. However, considering how far the new product has stepped compared to its predecessor, you can understand the manufacturer. What interesting things does it have in its arsenal, how much does the accessory cost in Russia and does it have any disadvantages? To find out, we have prepared a detailed review of the Huawei Band 6.
Design and ergonomics
The watch looks simple, but there is a certain claim to style. It appears in the dark gray paint that covers the plastic of the case. Due to this, it seems as if the gadget is made of steel.
The square screen has small rounded edges and extremely thin frames. Due to this, a lot of information can be placed on it and working with such a display is extremely convenient.
There is one physical button on the right side. It is needed to return to the main screen.
On the back of the device there are traditional contacts for chargers and sensors that determine the degree of blood oxygen saturation and heart rate.
The included strap is made of silicone. You can detach it if you wish, but it will take some effort. Another not very pleasant moment is the proprietary mount. Because of this, it will not be possible to connect any suitable strap to the accessory.
But the divisions on the bracelet are enough so that it can be comfortably fixed even on a very thin hand.
The device has moisture protection according to the 5ATM standard, and therefore the owner can safely take a shower and even swim in the pool without removing the gadget.
Display
The screen of the accessory is made using AMOLED technology. The diagonal is excellent by the standards of fitness bracelets - 1.47 inches, the resolution is 194 by 368 pixels. The image is very clear, without a hint of grain. Moreover, both from a working distance and upon close examination. The brightness margin is also pleasing - it is enough for the picture to remain readable even in direct sunlight.
The matrix is protected by glass with an oleophobic coating. In addition, it is very difficult to scratch, so the device can clearly be recommended to athletes and those who prefer extreme recreation.
Huawei Band 6 will definitely appeal to those who like to customize their device. There are about a hundred different dials available for it to suit every taste and color. In addition, you can create your own by uploading an arbitrary image from your smartphone.

Functional
For the fitness bracelet to work, it must be connected to a smartphone. The connection is provided by Bluetooth 5.0 - there are no problems with this.
The hero of the review is a real find for athletes. In its arsenal there are as many as 96 different training modes. True, only 11 are enabled by default. The rest must be enabled in the “Widgets” section, which is located in “Trainings”. After this, you can use the bracelet to track such exotic activities as belly dancing, swings, etc. It is interesting that the device’s arsenal does not include such a popular sport in Russia as skiing.
Workouts are tracked in very detail - cycling, regular running, swimming, there are no problems with any activity. A detailed report on each can be viewed in the Huawei Health application, which is available in Russian. The route is built precisely. Please note that the bracelet does not have GPS, so you won’t be able to take it for a run without a smartphone. If this is important, pay attention to Huawei Band 4 Pro. There is such a function there.
Huawei Band 6 can also monitor sleep. Moreover, he does it much more correctly than most competitors. In addition, there are standard measurements of the number of steps taken per day and calories burned. In addition, the tracker can warn about stress.
Now about the most interesting thing - the fitness bracelet is capable of automatically measuring the level of oxygen in the blood. Until now, the only accessory with similar functionality was the Apple Watch Series 6 smartwatch. In all other gadgets, the pulse oximeter must be turned on manually.
True, the measurement accuracy of the fitness bracelet does not inspire much confidence at first. It improves gradually, so after two to three weeks of use the gadget consistently produces adequate values that allow you to assess the approximate condition of the body. Reviews from Huawei Band 6 owners confirm this.
As for notifications, they are shown from different applications. In addition, each has its own icon. Unfortunately, emojis are not recognized, and despite the large screen, the sender's long name does not fit completely on it.
Other functions include finding your phone, controlling the camera and music player on your smartphone, breathing exercises, stopwatch, timer, alarm clock and women's calendar.
Installing Google services on Huawei P40 Pro: 5 hours of agony and that’s it?
I'm probably something of a revolutionary by nature. Nonconformist. That's why I never had an iPhone. Moreover, while analyzing smartphones, I came to the conclusion that the iPhone 11 Max Pro has no competitors objectively. All the rest are somehow unfinished. I'm pissed off at Apple, I'm pissed off at the double margin they take from every phone, I'm pissed off that they removed the game Fortnite from the AppStore and deleted the account of its developers because they made payments within the game, bypassing the Apple ecosystem. Apple has become a monopoly that doesn’t give a damn about logic, ethics, morality - its main morality is the main motto of the United States, formulated by Al Capone:
Nothing personal just business
In short, angry at the USA, I bought the Chinese flagship P40Pro. Before this I had a P20Pro, which I didn't really like, to be honest. In my 20 product I liked the photos, the size, the weight, and the charging was normal. The rest of the phone is kind of slow. And so I decided to challenge the system and take 40 firmware. I bought it through the official Huawei website for 57 thousand rubles. At one's own risk.
Amers banned Huawei last year. As a result, the phone does not have the usual Google Play Store. There is nothing that I have always used: Youtube, Chrome Gmail, google drive etc. But the bummers didn’t end there)))
In short, the Huawei AppGallery did not contain a single trading program that I use. Moreover, I think that all these programs will appear there over time, but such programs as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook are not there and it seems that they will never be there. This only intensified the disgusting feeling and irritation with the policies of the United States and Trump. What surprised me was that our SmartChat program ended up on Huawei from somewhere :))))
In general, on the same day I sat down to install Google services on a new phone. People on the internet warned that it took three days to install them. I sat down at 19:00 for this task and was able to log into Google Play only at 23:50. I spent almost 5 hours setting them up. Moreover, I had to dance with such tambourines that I didn’t even think that it would be such a pain. Initially I thought it would take 30 minutes.
The problem turned out to be that the published instructions did not work. I did everything several times and it didn't work. Apparently, patches are updated all the time, and you need to look for the latest ones. As I understand it, Google constantly bans all loopholes and old patches stop working. Personally, this English helped me. instructions on YouTube. Russian-language instructions did not work. At the moment when I needed to log in to my Google account, I received an “error connecting to the Google server.”
5 hours of hell and I finally saw this on my phone
Installed all programs. It worked for exactly 24 hours. A day later, the Youtube application stopped working (it doesn’t allow you to connect to the server using your account, it works without an account). And the Google Docs application stopped working - it also does not connect to the server.
The most impressive thing about the phone is the camera, of course, especially the zoom and night photography. Here is an example of a photo without zoom and with zoom that I took at lunch.
And this is a wide-angle photo)
In general, I don’t know yet whether I’ll keep it or not. If the problems are so chronic, then I’ll probably get a OnePlus8Pro, and I’ll rent this one out through Avito at a discount.
In the meantime, YouTube and documents are not working for me. Just look what else will fall off.
In general, if anyone knows how to get around these things, write)
Well, write in general what you think, leave it or change it to something else
Autonomy
The fitness bracelet's battery capacity is 180 mAh. The manufacturer claims that this battery lasts for 14 days of battery life. However, we are apparently talking about operation with minimal load. With daily training and automatic SPo2 measurement turned on, the gadget lives on a single charge for about a week. However, this is a very solid result.
In addition, the accessory charges quickly. It goes from 0 to 100% in just over 50 minutes. The first reviews from the owners confirm that the autonomy and charging speed of the gadget are commendable.
