Autonomy
The gadget's battery capacity is 3000 mAh, and this is not very good.
Of course, the model is compact and the screen does not consume too much energy, but I would like to see something from 4000 mAh and higher, like competitors from Xiaomi. If we translate the numbers into actual use experience, then one charge will be enough for about a day of using the smartphone. Tests indicate the ability to watch videos in HD quality for more than 7 hours straight or continuously play games for 4-5 hours, but it should be understood that the test numbers, as usual, are a little overestimated. Therefore, we do not recommend overloading your smartphone too much, otherwise you will have to constantly look for an outlet.
Advantages and disadvantages of the Honor 10 Lite phone
The dimensions of Huawei Honor 10 Lite are 73.64 mm wide, 154.8 mm long and 7.95 mm thick. The device can be operated with one hand, but some may find it large. In addition, the weight of the device is about 162 g. Even if you operate the device with one hand, its weight is almost not felt.
If we evaluate the overall ease of use of the phone taking into account the size and weight, then there will be no problems with everyday use.
The smartphone is equipped with an 8-core Huawei HiSilicon KIRIN 710 processor, which is manufactured at 12 nm. technical process.
The smartphone has 3 GB. RAM, which is quite enough. In very rare cases it will not be enough, but with this amount of RAM, you will rarely have problems.
The device's data storage capacity is 32 GB, and while this is enough for photos, it may not be enough for video shooting and a large number of games.
The phone is compatible with SD cards, so you can easily expand its memory. So you probably don't need to worry about storage capacity.
Honor 10 Lite has a display diagonal of 6.21 inches. It's quite big. Photos, videos and games will look great on this screen. It is also suitable for productive use, such as creating a business document.
The smartphone has a high-end display and any graphic content you display on it, including videos and games, will be displayed clearly.
The main camera of the phone has 12.98 megapixels and can take high-resolution photos and videos. While you're shooting landscapes or printing high-definition photos, you may want a higher-resolution camera, but most of the time you'll be happy with the camera.
Also, the smartphone has a front camera of 23.79 megapixels, which is an extremely high figure. Since this camera can take high-quality photos, you will rarely be disappointed with its resolution. You can rely on the camera quality of this smartphone.
The battery capacity of Huawei Honor 10 Lite is 3400 mAh, which is a relatively large figure. Compared to other smartphones, the battery life of the Huawei Honor 10 Lite is good. With this capacity, you won't experience any problems even if you spend time on the Internet or Twitter for a long period of time. Even while playing games or watching videos, you can do so comfortably without worrying about battery life. However, some caution should be exercised when watching movies or playing games for too long.
Appearance and ergonomics
If we consider the design of the Huawei P10 Lite, the device is more reminiscent of the recent Honor 8 than it is similar to its predecessor. The Chinese manufacturer decided to equip the new product with a main camera with one module. The smartphone has protective glass on both sides. At the same time, the corners of the case are neatly rounded to make using the phone as comfortable as possible. There is also a square fingerprint scanner on the back, and all the buttons on the front are virtual.
A 3000 mAh battery is hidden under the non-separable design. Dimensions of P10 Lite: thickness - 7.2 mm, width - 72 mm, height - 146.5 mm, weight - 146 g.
Design, ergonomics
Huawei P10 Lite most closely resembles its predecessor, Honor 8 Lite (Huawei P8 Lite 2017).
Same concept with glass panels and thin frame. Only in Huawei P10 Lite everything is done noticeably better.
The frame has become aluminum, the glass is fitted more accurately, and the 2.5D effect has become more noticeable. There is also an oleophobic coating, just like in premium smartphones - fingerprints are easily erased, both from the screen and from the back.
The fact that it belongs to the P10 series was played up with the help of a horizontal stripe near the camera. It is made of the same reflective material as the main backdrop, only “turned” in the other direction. Simple and clear.
The new blue color looks very cool. At the same time, Huawei was not too lazy to make even the front panel blue, which is rare for a smartphone in this price range; usually the border around the screen is either black or white.
Due to the fact that it was the Huawei P10 Lite in blue that I got to review, I can’t express any particular criticism regarding the appearance. The device looks great, it attracts the eye.
The only “fairy” was the design of the fingerprint scanner. It is clear that they wanted to show that they belong to the middle price category, but this square with beveled edges looks ridiculous, disrupting the overall harmonious picture. If not for this jamb, then the design would have been a solid ten.

Ergonomics.
The build of the Huawei P10 Lite is respectable; you won’t find such a rigid design in every flagship. The glass panels fit perfectly, there are no creaks or cracks (look carefully at the cracks when purchasing). A small complaint about the wobbly volume key, but this happens with many smartphones.
The general impression of the quality of the Huawei P10 Lite is that the smartphone feels more expensive in the hands than it actually is. At the same time, it is quite comfortable in the hands. The small thickness and width of the case makes it difficult to use the smartphone with one hand.
The smartphone is quite slippery, but not easily soiled. If you are afraid of dropping it, then it is better to buy a case, it will be safer. Glass on both sides, by the way, is scratched in much the same way as Gorilla Glass.
Hardware and performance
Inside the P10 Lite there is a processor with eight cores Kirin 658, which can operate at a maximum frequency of 2100 MHz. It is worth highlighting the presence of 64 GB of internal memory, expandable using MicroSD cards (up to 256 GB); there are also versions with 32 GB. The smartphone was not deprived of RAM in the amount of 3 or 4 GB.
It is very important that Huawei P10 Lite runs Android 7.0, the latest version of the operating system from Google. There is also a beautiful proprietary shell EMUI 8.0, which has received many interesting innovations.

Camera
This Huawei P10 Lite review point can be completely copied from the Huawei Nova and Honor 8 Lite reviews:
“The main camera of Honor 8 Lite is built on a 12 MP Sony IMX286 sensor, like the Huawei Nova. Such sensors can be found in dual cameras of Huawei P9 or Honor 8. Lens with aperture F/2.2, pixel size 1.25 microns, phase autofocus.”
I did not notice any real differences from the cameras of the devices indicated above. Except that the shooting process has become more efficient, the camera application is less slow than on Honor'e 8 Lite. The slightly more powerful P10 Lite chipset and the optimization of EMUI 5.1 have an effect.
The shooting quality is average for 2021; in the right hands, the phone is capable of decent photos. The main thing is not to demand too much from it when shooting at night.
Look at examples of photos taken with the main camera.

The Huawei P10 Lite camera app is simpler than premium smartphones with Leica cameras. The appearance and features are exactly the same as Honor 8 Pro, Honor 8, Honor 8 Lite, etc.
The front camera with a resolution of 8 megapixels takes mediocre pictures; you don’t particularly want to take selfies with it. A common problem with most “average” smartphones on the market.
