1. Huawei Honor 9 lasts 3-4 hours when running games. The device plays video for 7 hours at maximum brightness and in HD resolution. The previous smartphone in the line, Honor 8, could boast exactly the same indicators. Fast charging is supported. To summarize, Honor 9 lives for a day during normal use.
2. Samsung Galaxy A5 will last 11 hours in HD video playback mode at maximum brightness. It will also allow you to play for 4.5 hours.

Consequently, autonomy is better in the Galaxy A5 and this is with a smaller battery capacity.

Software

At the same time, the Galaxy A5 2021 is a standard mid-budget phone, and therefore you shouldn’t expect a technological miracle from it that can create a revolution based on the results of benchmark tests.

The South Korean smartphone is equipped with an 8-core Exxon 7880 chipset, made using 14-nm technology. The maximum clock frequency of its Cortex-A53 cores does not exceed 1.9 GHz.

Honor 8 runs on a more powerful 8-core Kirin 950 processor (4 Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8 GHz and 4 Cortex-A72 cores).

In general, the performance of our heroes is quite acceptable. You won't have to deal with any problems when using them, but the "Korean" is noticeably slower than its Chinese competitor. Fans of multitasking and gamers, when choosing the best model, should still choose Honor 8.

In terms of autonomy, the Galaxy A52 does not set any records; the battery here is 4500 mAh - only 10% more than in the previous generation. But since the 90Hz screen consumes more energy, the A52 works about the same: a day with active use, or one and a half to two days with moderate use. The kit comes with a 15 W power supply, but Samsung was a little greedy here, because the smart supports 25 W. But the flagship S21 does not have a charger in the box at all, so thank you for that.

Among the minuses, it is worth highlighting the hybrid tray for memory cards - the A51 had a triple slot, as well as a leisurely under-screen fingerprint scanner. It can be annoying at first, especially if you're used to fast physical scanners on the back.

Is it worth buying the Samsung Galaxy A 52 ? Yes, the advantages of this device seriously outweigh its disadvantages. The basic version with 4/128 GB can already be snatched up for 23 thousand at discounts, and in such situations this is a real top-performer for your money. But still, 4 GB of RAM is already close to the limit for a modern smartphone, so if you are renting a device for several years of use, it’s probably worth forking out for the top-end 8/256 GB version.
